Have you found yourself up until the early hours of the morning, playing games on your phone or watching rubbish tv.  I know this is not news to you, but you gain NOTHING from doing this.  You are no wiser for the experience so my advice is go to bed.  You will feel fresher and more productive in the morning and it is a scientific fact that the longer you stay awake the more your metabolism slows as your brain tries to preserve energy.  Studies show that 8.5 hours is the optimum amount of sleep.  How much do you get?

The is a strong link between the fitness level of the people close to you and your own physical fitness

A muscle dehydrated by 3% will decrease in strength by 10 %

Have you often thought about buying an energy drink before heading out to exercise –  think again.  Many energy drinks increase your heart rate whilst exercising, meaning that you could be putting unneccessary strain on your heart.  They contain calories which cancel out the positive calorie burning effect of the exercise.  And finally, nothing hydrates quite like water!  Drink plenty of water before, during and after exercise and not only will your hydrated muscles will be super strong you will also bounce back more quickly after exercise.

The more muscle you have, the faster your metabolism

The more muscle that you build on your body, the easier it will become for your body to burn calories. WIN/WIN! Plus we all know the more muscle we have the better we all look.  Spring is a great time to think about building some muscle ready for the summer.
