At 55 years old I have been attending Sean’s boot camp and seeing him for one to one sessions for a few months now and, in such a short space of time my fitness levels are better now than they have ever been. I have more energy and stamina and, have actually started running again for the first time in years!
As predicted with converting body fat to muscle my weight has gone down slowly on the scales but my body shape has changed completely. I now have a waist again and, have dropped sizes in both my dresses and jeans. Sean is very encouraging and, you can never get bored exercising with him as he is always varying the routine.
If you want to get fit and lose weight I would recommend Sean Burgess to anyone.

As someone the wrong side of 45 and the wrong side of 12st I took pride in myself on the fact that I regularly went to the gym every morning and did my own routine. However despite going to the gym my weight was beginning to pile on and I knew it was time for drastic action.
Just before Christmas a card came through the door advertising an ‘Invincible Boot Camp’ run by Sean at Broadstone gym. I kept the card for a few days whilst deciding to sign up or maybe join Weight Watchers. In the end I called Sean hoping like mad that he would say there were no more spaces or tell me you needed to be super fit to attend his Boot Camp. Unfortunately ( I thought at the time) he said there were spaces and anyone can join no matter what their weight, age or fitness level and even more annoying- he sounded like a nice chap.
So I found myself driving to Broadstone at 6am one dark January morning in trepidation wondering if I was doing the right thing. I soon realized – during the warm up- that despite going to the gym just how unfit I was.
I can’t sing the praises of Sean or his team, Jamie etc enough. They put so much time and effort into each session- even going in the night before to set up. Every morning the room had a different set up- we never knew what we would be doing each morning, which keeps it interesting.
With the encouragement from Sean and his team each session was fun and you can’t help having a go at everything and giving it your best effort. All my fellow ‘Boot Campers’ were friendly and there was good banter amongst everyone. I never felt ill at ease because of my weight or fitness level.
As a result of the course I lost 12 inches all over and feel much better and healthier. I have already signed up to do the next Camp and can’t wait for it to start. It might seem like hard work getting up so early but I always felt more awake on the Boot Camp days than I did the rest of the week.
I would recommend Sean’s Boot Camp to anyone- and frequently do. What have you got to lose- apart from weight and inches.

Prior to boot camp I had been going to the gym 3-4 times a week between shift-work and University. I wasn’t noticing much change and was finding it difficult to fit going to the gym in as often as I’d have liked. I signed up for the 10 week boot camp in January purely to improve my fitness and looking for something a bit different to motivate me. Initially I was apprehensive as to doing something so different, especially when it involved getting up in the cold and dark. Most people think you’re a bit bonkers waking up first thing for “punishment” out of choice, but it really is pretty easy after the first one and fun too. I always felt refreshed after and it’s great to have worked out knowing you have the rest of the day ahead.
Boot camp was perfect for me as every session chops and changes. You don’t have the dread of knowing what’s coming next like you do in some fitness classes, but you still get an all over workout. The sessions were tough; you’re able to go at your own pace (within reason), but still encouraged to push yourself. My strength and fitness levels have increased quicker in the past couple of months than with any other training I was doing before. If anything I have more energy, despite being up so early.
My aim was never about losing weight or inches and I didn’t really expect to however I ended up losing over 6 pounds, 13 inches and 7% body fat! I’m now down to 18% body fat which is amazing! You get nutrition and exercises info too, making it well worth the money of signing up. I’ve even been going to 6am beach circuits to fill the gap before the next one. I would definitely recommend SBPT Boot camp and have even managed to get a friend to sign up for the next one too.
Target: maintain my achievements and continue improving my strength for a summer full of charity challenges!
Helen

I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed boot camp over the last 10 weeks and how lost I am now its finished!
I lost a stone before I started so I wasn’t surprised that I didn’t lose much more weight but I really did just want to shape my body, well after seeing the before and after pics I just can’t believe the difference. When people keep saying I look amazing I just haven’t seen myself the way they have until now. I thought Boot Camp would be hard and boring but I can honestly say I have loved every minute of it and it’s made me feel like a different person completely. I wish we didn’t have to stop at all but I will most certainly be coming again in September and hope to beat 3rd place this time.
Bring it on!!!!
Thanks Sean and team!

Gail
Hello, I’m Gail, I’m 66, rapidly heading towards 67 and I am a Pilates Teacher. I love coming to Bootcamp and doing all sorts of sports, I play tennis, squash, do a little bit of running. In my earlier life I was a midwife and nurse for 40 years and during that time I sustained injury to my spine and my pelvis on which I have had major surgery. I’ve also had 2 hip replacements, when I had the second one I came to Sean Burgess Fitness and he helped to rehabilitate me and to get my legs and my muscles strong again which is important after you have had these operations. I really enjoy it, I also love doing Pilates, I just wanted to say that when I come here at 6.30 in the morning I think ‘ Oh my goodness.” but when you walk out of here at quarter past 7 after doing exercises Oh my goodness the feeling is so good. And I would wish it for everyone to have a go, coming here you don’t have to compete with anyone it’s just yourself and starting off to learn things and work your way up is a really good thing to think about and it also gives you confidence in what you are doing, because as a working mum and that means full-time mums aswell, looking after your children and your partner, you need to take a little bit of time for you. I think that is what is important as well. To have a little bit of time, just one hour 2 or 3 times a week, just for you to actually feel good about yourself. So come along and try it and see how you get on I’m sure you really will enjoy it and it sets you up for the day as well! So best of luck, have a go and it doesn’t matter how old or young you are you can always do something. There is no need to feel ‘I can’t!’ – Can’t means won’t! So take the bull by the horns and come along and have a go at any exercise that you would like to do! Good Luck!

My name’s Adam 47 this is my second bootcamp I think in the cut in the to bootcamps combined I’ve lost some 9 or 10% and gotten fat I really like timing it’s better than the gyms gyms bar find the gym for end and the same thing on my own you come in here and you do lots of activities it’s different every day you get to push yourself as hard as far as little as you want and you find you get so much fitter over the course I think I’ve never been so fit in my entire life in societies boot camps that I love them like they’re brilliant.

Nick
It’s the first time I’ve tried training online or HIIT but it’s definitely something I want to keep up! Full credit to Sean for finding the right balance between great exercise and banter.

I have attended Sean’s Bootcamp sessions regularly over the last few months. Each session is completely different from the last and no two are ever the same. I love this variety as predicable exercising sessions for me quickly become boring. Sometimes you work individually and others involve an element of team or partner work.
Sean’s endless energy, enthusiasm and encouragement are infectious and he encourages everyone to work to their maximum ability. His knowledge of exercise and how the body functions is reassuring and he watches everyone to ensure that technique is correct, therefore minimising the chances of injury. There are always alternatives and “easier” options for those that have an injury or are restricted by a condition (such as myself).
At the end of every session I have a tremendous feeling of achievement. Above all Sean makes it fun and I always look forward to the next time. At 51 I feel fantastic and I know that my levels of fitness exceed those of many of my peers. So thank you Sean!!

Its all over body Fitness it doesn’t focus on just one thing every session there’s different exercises and it really taxes your whole body I’ve actually noticed I’m much more toned now I have lost a bit of body weight but actually I’ve lost quite a lot of percentage body fat which is a great achievement I think it provides a structured exercise environment so if you’re struggling with motivation once you sign up you come along and they gently push you through each session to get your best out of it.
