Hi – My name is Steph I joined Sean Burgess Fitness because I was applying to the Navy at the time to help my fitness I really needed help cos I didn’t know what I was doing, Sean approached me and since then it’s been great! So I started personal training sessions with Sean they’re great everyone’s different he’s helped me with nutrition plans, different exercises in total I’ve lost 20 pounds in weight, five and a half inches all over and six percent body fat, that’s enabled me to pass my Royal Navy fitness test pass basic training, I still see Sean for sessions just to keep my fitness up. Seeing Sean has helped me to up my confidence I wasn’t a very confident person before I saw him. I am more active definitely do more sports participating more in runs, cycles as just generally helped me feel more confident person Advice I’vd give someone who wants to start training with Sean Burgess I had a free taster session to start with so I definitely advise doing that he’s got loads of group sessions everyone’s really easy to get on with so I’d recommend any boot camps or classes that he does as well if I could sum up Sean Burgess Fitness in one word I’d say inspiring.

After taking a couple of years out from doing hardly any fitness post leaving the Army I inevitably found myself gaining weight and losing my fitness. Realising this I decided to get back into the swing of things and was introduced to Sean by my dad who is a member at Broadstone gym.
Sean quickly put me through a fitness assessment and after that I had a few PT sessions to build my fitness and confidence again. The workouts varied each time meaning I learnt of new exercises which was great for weight loss and keeping my body guessing. Since seeing Sean for PT and from following his programs I have lost nearly 9 pounds in body fat and actually built muscle across my chest, legs and arms.
Apart from the fitness sessions if I ever need help or advice on things like stretching, different exercises or nutrition Sean is always happy to help.
His wealth of knowledge and friendly approachable manner makes him really easy to talk to and get along with.
Sean’s a genuinely nice guy and i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is looking for any kind of guidance in their fitness goals.

He always keeps the sessions I’ve been to entertaining which helps alot when you’re going full power.

Playing regular sport until the age of 45 kept my weight down but my knees, ankles and hips were suffering so I gave the lot up!
Seven years later (and two stone heavier) I decided to join the gym!
I had been dieting and exercising for six months when Sean Burgess saw me on the treadmill, struggling and limping, so he suggested to me that I needed a structured program to help me get the most from my efforts and strengthen my problem knees and ankles. 15 sessions later and I’m playing football (ok, not too competitively) again without using a knee brace or ankle support. I’ve dropped another stone in weight, my ‘beer belly’ is reducing and my body shape has been very much improved. I’m stronger, fitter and in better shape that I was ten years ago!
Every session with Sean is different and never dull. They are well balanced between strength, cardio and suppleness and Sean’s nutritional advice is helping too. He is not an ‘aggressive’ task master – he gently encourages – and I always enjoy my hour with him.
The gym is a much more interesting place to go now and rather than just using the cross trainer, running and rowing machines I use a number of exercises and techniques that I have learned from Sean.

Sean Burgess was my PT for over a decade. He helped me stay strong, kept me on the right track and taught my muscles positive memories for life! I can’t recommend him highly enough. If you want value for money, motivation, professionalism – but also humour – he’s your man.
What Sean doesn’t know about fitness isn’t worth knowing! An excellent conversationalist too – you’ll feel at ease with him right away. Male or female, building bulk or shedding weight, do your body a favour and book a trial with Sean today.

Emma
With Sean’s help I’ve lost my mummy tummy, toned my horrible areas and hugely increased my fitness! I genuinely feel great and have actually learnt what I should be doing and why when I’m working out.

My overall aim of training was to gain weight in muscle mass for my rugby and it just wasn’t happening. After meeting Sean he then set me a combined gym program and diet plan. Immediately I saw improvement and within the first month I put on just under a stone (13 lbs) in weight which was brilliant as this was my aim to do over many months not just one.
I also saw improvements in my overall strength. Student as the weights I was lifting kept improving each week. Sean is an excellent trainer and set me up with everything I needed to achieve my goal and was very enthusiastic with helping me in my improvement and, I would highly recommend using him whether you want to gain or lose weight as he is a high class enthusiastic professional. Every time we spoke he always explained everything in a clear and easy to understand way and was always willing to help with any queries I had along the way.

After a spinal operation, I developed a condition known as “Foot Drop” which left me with very little movement in my left foot, resulting in a very irritating limp. After a very honest and open assessment, Sean explained that my problem was not skeletal or muscular but it was neurological. He explained in clear terms that whist there was little he could do to cure the problem but there was certainly something he could do to limit the impact on my mobility. Under Sean’s guidance I entered into a strict regime of exercises designed specifically to strengthen my leg, ankle and core muscles. I religiously do these exercises at home and at the gym and after a four week period I began to feel the benefit. I still have a slight limp but thanks to Sean Burgess Fitness, I now have much more movement and stability in my foot, which has helped my mobility significantly.
Many thanks Sean for your expert help and guidance.
